Along with the Sentiment Immobiliare, the analysis of how the operators and investors perceive the development of the real estate market in Italy, the FIUPS index was created. The acronym stands for Federimmobiliare, Università degli Studi di Parma and Sorgente Group.
The FIUPS index represents the numerical synthesis of the Sentiment Immobiliare. It is a valuation made with the scope of measuring the operators' expectations in relation to the real estate sector, on a quarterly basis.
For many years, Sorgente Group and the Faculty of Economics of the Università degli Studi di Parma, have been collaborating on issues and research matters regarding real estate finance and economy.
Since this collaboration commenced, the research activity has been institutionalized in a Research Laboratory on Real Estate Finance and Economy, where the project for the Sentiment Immobiliare survey was conceived.
Observations on the Real Estate "Sentiment"
The project, realized in collaboration with Federimmobiliare, proposes to observe, on a quarterly basis, the expectations, from a qualitative point of view, of the various sectors of the real estate industry, the perception as to the market development and the investments in the Real Estate sector. A particular in-depth analysis is dedicated to the "Sentiment" expressed by the operators of the real estate finance industry. (SGR, SIIQ, Listed companies).
The questionnaires are distributed after every four months, with the aim of verifying the "Sentiment" in relation to the market in the subsequent twelve months.
The scientific coordinator of the project is Prof. Claudio Cacciamani, elaborated together with Dr. Federica Ielasi, while the current operative coordinator is Dr. Sonia Peron, both forming part of the Faculty of Economics of the Università degli Studi di Parma.
The first edition questionnaire was compiled by 225 operators of the real estate market, belonging to the following principal sectors: trading, development, property, facility, planning, evaluation, advisory, real estate finance, apart from a wide range of sector-specialized professionals (engineers, architects, building surveyors and notaries).
